About Me

My name is Chris. I’m a Dutch-French Artist living in Switzerland.

Happily in couple and owner 2 dogs (2 lovely border-collies).

Concerning my training, well, I am a chemist with a degree in Biochemistry and a MSc in Water Sciences. I am actually working part-time as an Engineer and assembling industrial machines for purification of water. I speak 5 langages: German English and French, and ocasionally Spanish and Dutch… (the one who wants to teach me Malay is welcome). Drawing and painting are, for the moment, kind of side gigs but I’ve always been drawing as far as I remember, It’s a family thing. I’d like to take it to another level.

So from my experience, my drawing is a mix of scientific rigor and instinctive painting, I want these 2 parts of me to meet like ying-yang. I have an attention for detail and I like to planify my work in advance in my head just like a scientific work. But I also like my drawings to look like they were very easy to make, even it takes many many tests to get the desired texture and to complete one. I am influenced by the japanese minimalism, art-nouveau, the beauty of Earth, Nature and the Alps.

What do I love? I love cooking, going out in the wild, quiet places and quiet people. I absolutely love mountains, but also sports and singing. I also have a gift for DIY, gardening, kitesurfing. I used to be a snowboard-oholic. My friends can be counted on the fingers of one hand: better quality than quantity (I thank them and my family for their support). But… don’t mistake me, because “still waters run deep”: I can sometimes have a fiery temperament and be brutally honest. If you want to put a label on me, just try INTP.
